I played my first session today which was only less than 900 hands. It’s a pretty small amount given I played for 3 hours and playing anywhere from 6-9 tables. The tables were pretty poor at 200 NL, but that can be expected for a Monday.


I need something like 1700 hands/day on average for the month for me to clear 50k, so its a marathon not a sprint. I’d love to get in 3k hands a day while 9 tabling but I fear my play will suffer right now.


I played some on Saturday but I dropped another 3.5 buyins in 1500 hands, even though I was up 3 buyins at one point. I went over and found several spots where I just didn’t play very well but hopefully I’ll be playing my best from now on and I can just concentrate on getting the hands in.

It’s so lame, I know. I like to go down there and swim for at least an hour in between poker breaks but I can’t do that today. I really like the pool but today must be day off for the lifeguards.


Another weird thing: all 4 lifeguards speak a Nordic language which I find pretty weird. I go back and forth if they’re all brothers or sisters or just friends, but really I have no idea.


I guess I’ll have to play poker on my breaks from poker today, but no doubt I’ll be swimming tomorrow.
