. . . And I’m not going to be here to watch it. After nearly a full year since the last new episode, Burn Notice makes its return to USA Network and frankly, its been way too long.


For those of you who were a fan of LameRerun, you’ll remember how much Kiyoshi and I praised this show and if you haven’t already please watch the first season. It has to be one of the best, yet underrated, shows of last year (let alone new show). I hope the hype hasn’t overplayed Burn Notice this year but I have yet to see a bad episode.


Where am I going to be? I’m going to go visit my old friend Anna in Arlington Heights. I’m meeting her and her boyfriend at 5:30ish or so at their place for one last visit before I head to Washington D.C. Its always fun catching up with her and Burn Notice should be on Hulu later anyway. Expect a review when I watch it.

I got out of the bathroom this morning at 11:15 and I noticed right away that the tables were pretty good, both at FTP and Poker Stars. I was so hungry though but I didn’t care; I wanted to play. There was 1 table right off the bat with 3 fish with nobody on the waitlist and I jumped right on it. I played for a good 1.5-2 hours right away while hungry.


And it was a good thing I started then too because I made everything I lost yesterday back plus a little more for my effort. I would be up another 50 BB but I got sucked on KK vs 87 on 7xx flop when we got it all in. I’m feeling real confident in my game at FTP but not as much at Stars right now. I think if you compare the two sites I’m really nitty on Stars but Laggy on FTP.


I am working on a set 3 bet range but going over how other Tags play at my level is helping me out a ton; I should definitely do it more and more as I find decent players. Ive found a lot of TagFish on FTP, much more than Stars right now.


I played an equal number of hands between FTP and Stars today as there were a few real good tables on Stars as well. My HUD wasn’t giving me as many problems today as it was yesterday, although I need to add 2 stats to my HUD: Fold to 3bet and 3bet %. I put in 370 hands again and made 150 BB, but I doubt I will play any more today.

After my midday poker rant yesterday, I did actually play poker for a couple hours. I find that when I do play I am in a better mood than when I don’t, which is surprising. In total, I put in 370 hands 4 tabling for a couple hours and dropped about 120 BB, my won $ without showdown was positive and two pots where I got it in fairly standard was the reason why I was down. Being down though motivates me to play more!


After I played, my Mom and I went to Orchard Road Country Club for dinner, which isn’t nearly as fantastic as it sounds. To be honest, I was the youngest person there and the 2nd youngest would have been my mom. Since when did old people eat after 6:30 pm? It was weird.


I remember growing up thinking that the Country Club is the ‘best’ place to go eat in Aurora, but I wasn’t impressed. It just felt like it was an old folks home serving average dinner. Now, the prices were actually really cheap, especially for it being a country club. My mom got a prime rib dinner for $11.99, which are prices at a real cheap place in Vegas but apparently not out here.


I looked down and saw Filet Mignon for ‘only’ $22 so I got that, when is the next time I am going to be able to order that for such a cheap price? It was pretty good but I found the service to be horrible, so we didn’t leave that great of a tip.


After we got back from dinner we put in The In-Laws on DVD and it was an OK movie; I guess of my brother’s movie collection it wasn’t all that bad. After that I did some studying, watched another episode of Highlander and went to bed.
